Dani Robbins

Dani Robbins is a Maine-based dance/theater artist who holds a B.A. in contemporary performance from Bennington College. Before Bennington, they grew up dancing and acting in the Boston area as a member of Urbanity Dance Company and in the work of Jaclyn Waguespack. While completing their undergraduate studies at Bennington, they had the opportunity to dance with the faculty and graduate students of the college. In 2017 and 2018 they were a Dance-Tech Artist in Residence at Lake Studios in Berlin, Germany where they self-produced their solo project, Self-Help. They have performed their collaborative works including American Parenting and Everybody Sings in Unison in Berlin and the U.S. and their most recent collaborative work with Zoe Huey, PUSH, premiered in Vermont in April of 2018. Their collaborative work with animator Zachary Taibi, Nothing Comes Again, premiered in COA’s Blum Gallery in October. Dani has been hosted as an artist in residence by Elena Demyanenko, and during the summer of 2019 they shared a collaborative residency with Zoe Huey, hosted by Acadia National Park. They are currently working to be further engaged in an arts practice that interrogates issues of access and community through their work with ArtWaves MDI, and through their role as a choreographer/director for the Acadia Community Theater.on

Doug Van Gorder

Doug has filled every role possible for ACT from Producer and Director, to Actor as Shrek's Father and Yertle the Turtle,  This is his 5 millionth ACT production


Matthew Hochman

This is Matthew's 8th show as Tech Director for ACT,  He has also appeared on stage for ACT  in A Christmas Story and Shrek (as the cross-dressing wolf) He Produced 2018's production of 39 Steps and was the director for this winter's holiday show Closed for the Holidays.   He has also appeared in productions at MDI High School (Oliver, Guys and Dolls, The Clouds, A Man's a Man),  The Grand (Guys and Dolls, Hello Dolly), Acadia Repertory Theatre (The Unexpected Guest, Harvey).  He can also be found backstage at The Criterion during live music events working as an A2 and Monitor Tech.

Isabel Bohrer

Isabel makes musicIsabel graduated from MDIHS in 2013 and went on to receive a B.Mus in Violin Performance from the University of Maine, where she studied with Dr. Anatole Wieck and wrote an Honors thesis on the symphonic works of Tchaikovsky under the advisement of Dr. Beth Wiemann. In addition to performing in ensembles throughout the state and at UMaine, Isabel has played in many pit orchestras over the years, beginning with Once Upon a Mattress as a freshman at MDIHS, followed by Cats! (MDIHS), Pirates of Penzance (MDIHS), Les Misérables (ACT), The Pajama Game (UMaine), and The Producers (Waterville Opera House). She worked with ACT as the pit director for Freaky Friday, and is super excited to be the music director for Matilda
